Linear Obsessional A label for experimental and Improvised Music
Linear Obsessional is a label for free/name-your-price digital recordings, and limited edition physical runs of experimental and improvised music by musicians from around the globe.
Most of the music is published under a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License. What this mouthful means is that the music presented here is free to download, and you are welcome (indeed encouraged) to share it, and use it how you wish, as long as full credit is given to the creators. There are a few exceptions, where the artist has specified a different licence, and the occasional physical release.
Linear Obsessional is put together by Richard Sanderson, an improvising musician based in South London. After many years of promoting live experimental music concerts, Linear Obsessional presents him with an opportunity to continue to share the music of exceptional musicians and artists, from the comfort of his armchair. For further information please see the "about" page.
A collection of brilliantly eclectic instrumental electronic works by the British instrumentalist and composer Pete Flood, probably best known as the drummer in UK folk powerhouse Bellowhead. "Mycoworld" is beguiling, baffling and wonderful.
"Mycoworld" will be available as a download with PDF booklet, and as limited edition CDR.

LOR040 - Duncan Goddard Electrical Tape
A solo album from Madrid based Duncan Goddard of kosmische trio Radio Massace International. Focussing of the unique timbres of the Mellotron - a sound which possibly carries more cultural baggage than just about any other instrument outside of folk music, Goddard's album is a long deep trip into textures which may initially appear familiar, but soon mutate into something simultaneously troubling and mesmeric.
Available as a download and accompanying 11 page PDF booklet featuring notes by Richard Sanderson and photographs by Duncan Goddard, and as a numbered, limited edition CDR with a laminated piece of genuine Mellotron tape.
